Terminator: Dark Fate – NOVEMBER 1st, 2019
WHAT’S IT ABOUT
In Mexico City, a newly modified liquid Terminator — the Rev-9 model — arrives from the future to kill a young factory worker named Dani Ramos. Also sent back in time is Grace, a hybrid cyborg human who must protect Ramos from the seemingly indestructible robotic assassin. But the two women soon find some much-needed help from a pair of unexpected allies — seasoned warrior Sarah Connor and the T-800 Terminator.
MOVIESinMO REVIEW
Terminator: Dark Fate is everything you could possibly want from a terminator film. It has more action than any other Terminator movie. It has Arnold Schwarzenegger, Linda Hamilton, and James Cameron as producer. So what’s the problem? It has too much story. T:DF tries too hard to explain every aspect of itself, and this is its downfall. So far we know if you want to do time travel you must be naked because only living tissue can be transported with the machine they use. If I were one of those logic types, I could say your hair and nails are technically considered dead tissue and therefore should not be able to go through the time machine. That is what happens when you overthink. Terminator is supposed to be a straightforward story. A robot (Terminator) from the future is sent to the past to kill what it believes is mankind’s only savior BEFORE he is born – simple. No one needs to know every single detail in a Terminator movie, that’s what ruins them. They start giving away too many details, and that’s makes the audience realize just how stupid the concept is. Now the entire audience is an expert on how Terminators exist, and it makes no sense at all. Now the first movie is in question because of your over explanations. I don’t want to think at a Terminator movie. Terminator is a fantasy film. When you apply “real” logic, you lose the point of it being fantasy. Dark Fate is a great film with loads action that will satisfy those looking for just that. If you are one of those people that love to add common sense to a make-believe concept, don’t see this film. But if you want non-stop action, well-acted movie with the main two stars that started the whole thing, go see Terminator: Dark Fate.
