WHAT’S IT ABOUT
In the year 2045, people can escape their harsh reality in the OASIS, an immersive virtual world where you can go anywhere, do anything, be anyone-the only limits are your own imagination. OASIS creator James Halliday left his immense fortune and control of the Oasis to the winner of a contest designed to find a worthy heir. When unlikely hero Wade Watts conquers the first challenge of the reality-bending treasure hunt, he and his friends known as the High Five-are hurled into a fantastical universe of discovery and danger to save the OASIS and their world.

MOVIESinMO REVIEW
This movie has everything. A great director, pop culture references, virtual reality, and eye-popping graphics. So what the hell happened. Everything in this movie was like watching an eighties commercial. Spielberg is a great director, but I think he got lost in his own nostalgia.

There were so many pop culture references, I found myself counting all the ones I could find to have a reason to continue watching this movie. Graphically, the film shined, but ultimately all this movie did was make me want to buy virtual reality glasses and play a game in a post-apocalyptic world. The acting is true to the Spielberg we all know, and the script heavily relies on scenery. I had high hopes for this movie and was excited to see it finally.

Almost two and a half hours later, I had very few nice things to say about it. If they take out all the horrible acting and unnecessary, childish storyline, Ready Player On could be an awesome 30-minute music video.
